i need some basic clutching for a 136 viper. i have stock weights, stock spring and helix. what will i need to do to get the rpm back? just take out some weight on the tip?

1.25'' track, stock exhaust, gearing is 24/38 with 8 tooth drivers a ratio of 1.79, real close 21/38 with 9 tooth drivers. sea level to 300ft
any help would be great!

you'll need to run, it see what rpms it is spinning, you may be pleasntly suprized to find you wont need to do anything. and at worse you may have to add or remove weight from the weights (with rivets) or if you only need a small change you may get away with only stiffening or lightening a primary spring. easiest thing to remember is, tune the rpms with primary, upshift and backshift with the secondary. if you do the reverse you will be robbing peter to pay paul. and while you may achieve the proper rpms that way, performance will suffer somewhere in the power curve. as soon as you know your rpms with the current set up give us a shout and we can tell you where to go primarywise. hope this helps. ski
