has anyone tried the transfer rod kit for yamaha's pro action system. It is supposed to make the sled stand up on its heels and lift the skis. it replaces the stock control rods,
with a rod with an adjustable nut to stiffen them up.

just curious if this is something someone would want to do or not???

your opinion please.

They work great for the little amount of money they cost. It really allows the weight to transfer.

Sounds like you haven't done much reading on TY just yet. Search for transfer rods on here, you'll get pages.

One caution: Adjusting your rods alot will result in a looser track, making it ratchet until you tighten it up. After you tighten it up, you can't go back on the rods until you loosen the track. Also, with the rods adjusted for full transfer, you can wind up bottoming too much at the front arm, and break it over rough trails.

Basic rule of thumb, all things in moderation. Good luck!

vmaxjohn, i had to weld my w-arm on my skid and i have just installed longer viper shocks, longer limiter, ect.. I would like to know what to look for on the set-up so i can minimize any damage to that w-arm...also looking for a coupled aggressive trail ride more so than a drag set-up, I find myself into more bump situations on tug hill than flat ones..any info would be appreciated from you or anyone else..thanks CP
