Will this track fit on my 98 Vmax 600 XTC???

yes it will fit with 9 tooth drivers if you pull your tunnel and heat exchanger protectors, or go to 8 tooth drivers, gear up, and leave the protectors in. Your call.

I rtan a 9793 on my 99 vmax. It was a good all around on and off trail track. Maxdlx

So that track has a clip every 3rd hole. Other than wieght savings, is this benificial? Will the drive gear eventually hurt the holes with no clips? I'm a novice just asking questions!!

I tried to call Bruce, but he is not in today.

Anyone know where I can find a picture of the 9793T track? As I understand it, this is a good replacement track (good being a relative term as always) for the average rider (which I am). Just wondering about the lug pattern, performance, etc....

being clipped every third will not hurt the track or the drivers. Plus if you have stock drivers and not extroverts, the drivers dont even touch the windows or clips.

The 9793 Energy track is a great low cost 1" replacement track for any 121"x15" sled. They have good durabililty and performance for the average snowmobiler. If your looking for the ultimate in performance from a 1" you should check out the new Hacksaw track. They are a little more money but worth it for all out performance. Here is a link to Yamaha's site with the 9793 and one to a previous thread with pictures of the Hacksaw. We currently have the Energy (SMA-TRACK-9793) on sale for $275 plus shipping and the Hacksaw (SMA-TRACK-90-09) for $325 plus shipping.
