Pro-Action SRX more Ride height (revised) 4 reply
Hi again, I was wondering if anyone knows or has
successfully turn a 01 SRX proaction front 7in. travel
into a proaction 9in travel, with stock or aftermarket parts
I searched all the previous tech threads & didn't come up
with much
BTW, I think I'm going for the bender, RA 11.7 rear if this helps
you help me

you can have your front kyb shocks extended with new shafts or just buy longer shocks. if you are looking for 1in higher you can move your mounts left to right and upside down for a one inch rise. if you install a viper front cast section and cut your bellypans for clearence you can run viper/vmax style shocks that are available everywhere.
if you go up more than an inch you should go with wider radius rods or extensions from hi tech.
more height in the back will give you more preasure on the front of the ski causing darting. you will need to change this balance to make the sled handle correctly when done. go to the tech pages and read the front end alignment article and or the ski shimming article.

i wouldnt bother when you can do a flip reverse and get about the same thing.
his might be easier as when you do my trick you do need to do a little grinding on the bracket to make it clear the shock as well as use a washer for clearance.

Betheviper, Have you ever heard of putting 03/04 venture trailing arms on
a SRX?
I was in my trailer looking at my front end and noticed my venture's
trailing arm has a longer spindle. (about an inch more that srx)
Would this, added to flipping shock brackets add about 2/ 1/2 in. of ride height?
(not front travel)
BTW, the tie rods, radius rod bushings & spindle arms are the same part number
for both the venture & srx
Any thought?

Here is the pic of both spindles

this would work and will give you a couple more degrees of caster. i have viper spindles and arms 35 each if you deside to go this way.

Got pics?
Each piece is 35? I will take them if all straight no bends
you can email me at SkiDooF600@aol.com
Do you mean, you have spindles & trailing arms or steering arms for spindles
I might need more stuff. lol

BTV... can you explain this a little bit more... very interested but don't have the sled in front of me to understand exactly what you're referring to.
Thanks!
