Thinking of getting some new boots this year -I want it to be the last pair for a long while!

Let's hear what everyone wears.... Right now I got a pair of Sorels, nice boots, but I accidently bought them a little on the large size.

Thanks to everyone who replies!!

i have some cheap ranger brand boots that keep my feet warm, and i get cold feet easy! i prefer the tall light moon boot style over the heavy hunting boots.

I have good pair of rocky 600 with gotex nice lite and not to big. You can tie them nice and tight to for ankle support and still walk in them when you stop.

Altimate, super nice and warm even when it gets to like -25, about as cold as I care to go out in :) the ones ZI have are real comfy and pretty lightweight, even being as warm as they are. I HIGHLY recomend them, my whole family ended up getting some lol!

How much bigger are they. From my own experience a little too big is warmer. My old boots if I wore a thicker sock my feet actually got colder.

Which altimates do you have? I'm considering the Escapes.

I have been wearing the HJC boot for the entire time on my 2001 SXR-700. I got that in Sept. of 2000 so it's been 4 years on them boots and they have a hole in the top of the right one and the left one almost has a hole (they still don't leak however so they were/are good boots for $70.00). It's because we actually grip the sled with the top of the boot and it really rips up the tops. I stand and ride so my feet are a big part of my control. I am buying the new Yamaha snow-x boots this year. I like the Glacier Boot but my dealer said they are really big and did not like them (I will decide at the Big-East snow show after I see them). They are saying to get the Polar boot as it is a "nicer" boot. I liked the all rubber inside of the Glaicer for protection on my tunnel. I have scene a lot of problems with speed laces and torn seats. I will also make sure I get the right size. I got my HJC's a bit larger than I like 11's and I like a 10 -10.5. I get sock suck all day long and I hate sock suck. It's caused by boots being too largs and getting too much movement in the boot. OK, my 2 cents. The top image is the glaicer boot and the second is the polar boot. Doug

I almost got HMK highmarks but instead opted for the top model Trukke's. Definately no regrets there, they are great boots, a lot of support, very cushy, linings come out VERY easily, very warm, a lot of padding and shell thickness on the top for gripping underneath the footholds at the front of the runningboards. Great set of kicks!
