I am thinking about light weighting my srx 700 next winter, as I think i am going to turn it into a project sled. I was thinking of doing the things that save the most weight frist, like lexan hood, boss seat, and new skid, either an m-10 or an ekholm. Let me know what you think I should do and prices on all, also how much weight it saves. Thansk in advance

I would consider Bender racings re-action monoshock setup. They are claiming a 15 or so pound weight loss with that kit for alot less money than an m-10. You also get the benefit of using all yamaha parts and there is no performance loss on the top end. Mine is supposed to ship the first week in August. Then go with a front end kit from cbperformance for another 15 or so pounds.

If you get a boss seat, get the hi rise. For the kind of ridding we do, you will enjoy it. Maxdlx

max, how is the ride with the boss seat? Also, people must not think a hood is a good idea? And is there anywhere i can get info on taht bender mono shock rear?
