hi guys.i'm new to the srx, actually new to snowmobiles.anyways i bought a 2000 srx700 and it has the stock track on it.i read some place that if you reverse the track around you will get better traction.has anyone tried this.the track also has 192 studs in the "v" patern.would it be ok to reverse the track or would the backwards "V" pattern give a ill effect in handling of something.
this sled rocks, awesome handling and power.no complaints other than traction.

I myself would not reverse it, especially since you are studed. No need.

I did it and it didn't hurt a thing, but I didn't really notice it helping anything either. I was replacing bearings, etc over one summer, so I thought I'd try it. If you are doing it just to do it, it's a waste of time, but if you already have the track out for some other reason, you can try it. I have over 7,400 miles on my track and reversed it and is still in perfect shape w/the studs etc just like you. I just put an 1.25" track on mine this year and that DID make a nice difference!! Strongly recommend it. I always run studs, but am just a lot more careful on icy roads, and give myself more room to slow down. I miss the studs a little, but the acceleration of the 1.25" is great!
