Powervalves? What are they and how do they work.
Ive never had a sled with them, might be a dumb question but id like to know.
Thanks, please dont post crude comments if this question seems tedious to you.

they are exhaust valves just like rave on ski-doo. closes at lower rpm to give backpressure and tq of a single pipe. with higher rpm they open and give better top end power of the triple pipes you have. they make a good difference, but remember to either get them cleaned or clean them yourself regularly! when they get sticky from exhaust gunk they can cause problems hope this helped ya a little bit

thank you for the information.

I'm going to build on what he said quick. The biggest factor they contribute is effectively raising the exhaust port height at higher rpms. Anytime you send in cylinders to get ported, they are raising (and expanding and polishing) the exhaust ports, and usually the boosts/transfers. Raising the exhaust ports allows much more efficient high speed flow to get the spent gases out and the fresh gases in. Basically the reason is that the sooner the exhaust opens, the more spent gases can be exhausted, making more room for fresh fuel. At lower rpms, the engine benefits more from holding the gases for a longer time because they are still expanding and pushing on the piston, and the cylinder has more time to fill at lower rpms. Hope that helps some.

i just got a ? about the adjustment on the valves.
when you adjust them i know there is certain tolerance(2.3mm-3.5mm i think)
but what do the difference in adjustment do?
lets say i adjusted it to 2.3mm will it help more on bottom or top end.
Thanks
