Reverse in a SRX700


Before moving to the next step, you will need a new HYVO 3/4 top gear and a HYVO 3/4 chain to mate with the new HYVO 39T gear provided with the kit. (This kit will not work with the stock 15W gear and chain on 98' & 99' SRX's, ...00' and above use HYVO components). (SEE PICS)

What is the diff. between a HYVO and 15W gear?
I have an 01 srx. will the standard viper kit work alone?
 
Hi again, I noticed that the viper kit that the tech forum suggest has a 39 tooth lower
gear. My SRX has a 38t lower gear.

How much does this matter?
Do I have to change the top gear too?
Also, what year Viper kit, there are two different ones
 
i have a 98 mountain srx and ive done it, i forget which kit i bought and mod., i ripped the drive chain in half once the first year i had it because the chain was 2 links skinnier, but i replaced it and havent had a prob. since.

Either kit should fit, ...if you want to maintain your original gear ratio, change your top gear based on what bottom gear you end up with on your reverse kit (usually 39T).

I come up with 04 Viper Kit 8EK-W4759-10-00
This should have everything I need, including a 38t HYVO bottom gear, Right?
