Is this really worth doing - do you notice any different? Sled has electric start, so I guess I'm not too worried about it being harder to pull over ....

the thinner head gasket is well worth doing.
I have been running mine with 2 layers removed for 2 years without troubles and workd great. You need high octane fuel in the machine. I am now going to tripples and will go to only one layer removed.

to be honest i had a single layer pulled out with pipes, and i blew the gasket after about 2,500 miles, so i had to replace it. I didn't take a layer out of the new gaskets, and i didn't even notice a difference.
