My snowmobile is not running right. I have had it into the shop and spent lots of money trying to get it fixed but the mechanics seem to be idiots. Here is what has been done: has a PSI pipe, needle and jetting are at or near stock (according to the mechanic), primary clutch is from 96 Vmax 600 set at Exciter factory settings, driven clutch is set at stock. I need help. I don't have a clue on what to do. I don't know what the stock settings are for anything. Where can I find these since there is not a book on Exciter model of snowmobile.
What I am looking for is what spring, cam arms, jet and needle to use with this machine and PSI pipe. Please help. We finally have snow and I am unable to ride.

Your best bet would be to call PSI at (920) 622-4555.
PSI should be able to give you jetting. Check w/ your local dealer and see if he still has the big poster size clutch and gear data chart that Yamaha dealers get each year, if not i still have notes that may help

hey makdaddy these are the specs you need pilot 42.5 air screw 3/4 turn slide 3.0 nozzle p-6 needle 6fl-82 4th position mains 310 good luck i ran this set up flawlessly
