I was wondering if anyone has tried a Maxximum Performance long travel susp. kit for an srx? My concerns are weight transfer and possible front end darting. Will I lift front too? :

Alot of people have done this with good results. It's probably one of the cheapest ways to get your SRX to ride better. I don't think darting is really an issue with this because it doesn't really raise the back up much, it just allows full travel. Anyone correct me if I'm wrong.

nope, you are right. and can get a lot more transfer. mostly drop out travel. on my old sx I measured the rear bumper to be raised like 1/4". well worth it I thought. Eric

As long as you reset the suspension, it will ride just like before. maxdlx

I have the long travel kit in my srx, rides A LOT better than stock. Does raise the rear some because the new center spring is so stiff, but it comes down with my weight on it. Also have ohlins clickers in the front, this puppy rides like a caddy. On mine, with the center spring so stiff, it does have more ski lift in the corners. I could easily remedy this by taking some preload out of the center and pulling up the limiters some, but then I would be losing ride quality, and i dont want that. Just gotta throw my a$$ over the side a lot more through the twisties Thinking about widening the front end to get some of the flat cornering back without losing my travel. Over all, much improved over stock.

Long travel is is best mod that I have done to my SRX.
I had the Maxximum Performance kit on the rear that was changed around by Pioneer Performance. Different spring and valving. It rides awsome now.
In the front I put Ohlins on with the extensions and the ride is much better then stock.
