Alsa chrome paint

This stuff is a bitch to work with. They make it sound soo easy. Here's the scoop. You first need to paint the surface black, then clear it. Sand and buff the surface COMPLETELY smooth, leaving absolutely no fine scratches in it. If there are any scratches in the surface to be mirra chromed, they will be magnafied by the chrome paint. After this you spray 10-15 very light coats of chrome paint. Then let it dry for 48 hours, keeping it clean because you can't tack the surface because it doesn't dry enough to touch it. Now you can clear it again, and sand and buff it.
One of our technitions at Daytona bike week talked to a guy that had it done on his bike, and then candied over to look like colored chrome. They said it was re-done three times and it still wasn't perfect.
It's cool stuff, but very expensive and time consuming if you screw it up. I was thinking about doing my hood until I got more info on it.
There was an ALSA clinic put on by a jobber here and the people from ALSA couldn't even make it look right. Hold tight. Someone will come out with one that is more user friendly, I heard some rumors on this subject.
