Well done. The mods cost more than you paid.

The previous owner said that he thought he had approx $12K invested.

I'm not suprised at the $12 K investment. I bought a 1997 MM new and have been working on it ever since. Just added up the mods and I have $7150 USD plus the labour and the cost of the sled in mine. You can see it in a post in the mountain sled section called "new for next season". Good luck with yours. The MM line was and is a great sled.

Nice sled man, wish mine looked that nice. I just got one of the same thing, only less shiny.

I haven't been able to tell personally on this sled, but the prior owner had it modified this way since 1998, and he's never had any problems with them by the look of things. I had a V-max 4 that had rail extensions, and never had a problem with them, although the skid had two hairline cracks in it near the front probably due to a hard jump or something. Not sure if the extensions contributed to that or not.

O ok I am considering going 121 to 136 and adding a 2'' paddle to make my vmax xtc 700 98 a lil more mtn friendly! My dad is just putting a damper on things...O well, Thanks for the 411
