does anybody know the difference between viper and 1998 srx tranfer rods? I NEED THE MEASUREMENT FROM TOP OF THE SUSPENSION MOUNTING HOLE TO THE END WHERE THE BOTTOM BOLT MOUNTS TOO(which iS a one piece part) .The length OF TRANFER ROD PART and any pictures to see where the viper transfer rods mount to the frame, plus rail meausrement if they are differnet from 1998 ), (i think they mount in a differnet location then the 1998 srx). I want to make my own transfer rods(using parts from old royal distributing rods). i have put viper shocks in the srx skid along with limiter straps and now have to finish the job. Any suggestons and measurements would be appreciated

i don't have measurements, but when i added viper shocks to my 2000 srx. I added a steel cylinder that was 10mm long with a clearance hole for the bolt. and got a longer bolt. did the trick. I then played with plastic washer thickness to get the proper gaps top and bottom. 7mm-10mm spec. more gap can result in damage to the suspension ( broken w arm, etc)

I have also set one up using the 10MM additional rod.. You can play with the washers from there to get the weight transfer you want.
adding viper shocks
I have added viper shocks to a SRX 2000 and 97-98 sx's All I did was get the shocks revalved by Bruce and I put in the longer viper limter straps I also have bender TC# 3 the only problem was darting so i got the shims from Bergstrom skegs and it cured the darting problem i have had no problems with the w arm i also pulled up the limter straps on the srx to 42mm and the sx's to about 28 to 30mm they drive like the sled are on a rail good luck hope i have been of some help i can not say enought about bruce who revalved my shock I 'm a big guy 300lbs and wife about 175lbs .
