I need help wiring a heated shield on my 02 srx. Where is the best place that will be easy and look good also.

I wired a plug on my friends 01 SRX for a shield using the power wire for the tach light as a power source,its the only 12 volt source I could find.The only problem is you need lots of extra wire to feed down the cab and up to where you want the plug,or some guys have the plug right on the cab beside the gauges(use a Ski Doo plug for this it has a solid threaded mounting system).Just make sure you use a 12 volt source or you could burn the shield elements out.

Blue wire at steering gate is the Yamaha recommended one. Also see info in the Tech Pages.
