That can will most likely make your sled actually lose 1-2 HP. I don't think any of the aftermarket cans for a SRX actually increase HP like they say they do......but no the can can't hurt your sled.

whats the reason that everyone does the aftermarket cans anyways then?
weight? is it really that big of a difference?
thanks again.

The old Power Inc cans will gain 1 hp but other then that, I have seen the same thing on most cans. Either no gane or just a lot of noise.

Yea most people put them on for the bitchin music coming from the can, and weight savings.

If it does not cause you to loose power then the weight savings should be benificial. I have a Bender can on my SXR and I like it. It is coming off soon as I purchased tripples.

The Haucks lose a little power, but they do sound damn good

How do they loose power. No restricksion.
Real world test i did same day back to back runs 2ea way .I went to the track 1000 ft ice ran with stock can , then ran with bender can 1 mph slower with the bender each time.bender can is like 12lb less also. just my results.

yea but that it still more restrictive then the hauck howlers.... Correct me if i am worng tho. Less restriction = More power?

Less restriction does not necessarily mean more power, because the acoustics of the tuned exhaust is changed. Basically, Yamaha took their good sweet time with the stock exhaust on the srx's, you will be EXTREMELY hard pressed to find an exhaust setup that works better than stock on a stock engine. None of the aftermarkets can do it in full exhaust systems for the srx, a silencer doesn't do any better.

Yes, the stock SRX exhaust is exceptionally well tuned for the stock motor. Even if you find a way to gain hp, it will likely not be the same power curve. There goes your clutching setup, so get ready to tune.

my father has stingers for his SRX, and actually took them off last year, because they are so darn loud, and would constantly turn heads. when he had them on, i never had to turn around to see if he was still behind me!
