I have a Viper-s 1800 miles (no mods done yet) on it and I live in the midwest which I do ALOT of ditch banging. But I do make a fair amount of trips north. I keep reading these articles on the Nytro and can't help but wonder if it is the sled I should be riding. Makes the same HP doesn't it? Sounds like it is clutched and geared for better low and midrange which would be great for me. Although I like top end it isn't that important to me. What would you guys do trade the viper-s for the nytro? If so what kind of deal could I excpect? :o|

dont expect a lot on trade in. you could get a lot more money selling it outright. im sure there are a couple potential buyers here!

I have a vector and like to ditch banging. The viper s is awesome machine. But for what it's worth to trade it in you will have just as much fun I ditch banged vipers and vector's.I only drove the nytro on the grass.Like n2oiroc said if you can sell it out right.

Nytro is a much better sled than the 05 Vector. If you can suffer the increased cost go for it as it is a great sled.

That is a tough one!

The Viper would be a better high speed trail sled.

If you do alot of screwing around.....go with a Nytro.

I rode the Nytro and have ridden a Viper many times.

The Nytro just begs you to jump anything that you see......and does it confidently. That is what makes it fun to ride.

Probably 80% ditch riding and what some around here consider trail riding (corn feild and timbers with signs LOL) and 20% groomed trails up north.

the more i think about it.... go with the nitro. i love the my viper/srx to death, its tons of fun, but you gotta look ahead. the nytro is gonna out last any two-stroke, its gonna cost you less in maintaining (did i speell that right???), no buying injector oil and your gas bill is less. also, the plus side is if you want you can turbo it a lot easier than the two strokes. get a smaller one where your not worried about the top end but lots of quickness power!!! its updated, its renovated, its the future, go with it!!! heck, you've tried the viper s why not try something new? i bet you won't regret it!!! the viper s mods are dying.... people are focusing on the four strokes now. my vote, although i'm a two stroker still (would like to have both) is for the nytro

keep the viper-s, not sure if you would be happy with the 4 stoke lag....rode the vector and was thinking this motor is doggy, nothing says right now like a 2 stroke....CP

Yeah, there is absolutely no lag in these four-stroke motors. Even though the 2-strokes may SOUND snappier, the 4-strokes make power everywhere, right from the blip of the throttle, which sounds like what you need for your riding style. ;)!

my dad beats me off the line and across the lake on his 05 vector er and my 03 viper. no "lag" just quiet. doesnt YOUL when you hit it. just grunts and goes :)

Keep the Viper S. Wait a year and buy someones leftover Nytro or one with low miles or much less.
