Very safe. A pencil eraser thickness of wash around the transfers is about perfect.

you should be good to about 70 below zero!!!, your way,way to fat!!!

I concur with Turk & Mrviper, you've got room to spare on the jetting!
 
Thats what I thought never really did the wash thing but from what I thought it looked like it was washing off alot of the top
 
CORRECT me if I am wrong!!!
small washed off spots by transfer ports (Turk said pencil eraser size)
rest of piston colored not clean aluminum
 
Here is the mag piston from my 01 SRX. It is a lot leaner then my centre & pto & a lot leaner then I like to see. Going up 1 size on this puppy!

There is about 1/2 a eraser around the transfers that is hard to see. It is fine for 1000' races ......but not 1001'! Here is a piston from my 98 SRX that I was racing on a -25 day for long pulls!

How about mine - do these pistons make me look fat?

From my 97 700SX with PSI pipes running at 9100-9200 RPM's. (7000 Miles)

PS-these pistons are for sale...........lol
