I was going to put pipes on my stock 02 viper but have changed my mind. I am now going to go with a can and was just wondering what was the best one to go with. I was leaning towards an MBRP trail, but was also wondering how much louder the race can was.
Any help would be great.
Thanks

the race can is vet loud I have one for a non power valve 700 and dont use it. You may find that the stock set up is better. From all the info I have seen here you will loose or no gain at all with a can.

i got the mbrp trail on my 03 viper. unless u like really really loud get the race. i cant even emagine how loud that thing is because the trail is loud epecially when u crack it open. I also had the bender nice sound but not that loud got rid of it.
u wont be disapointed with the trail can from mbrp, it has the best sound out there
cheapest place to get it is from royaldistributing.com (canadain)

I dont have a can on my viper , but i think you cant go wrong with slp. As for performance, i could never see any gains on my formulas 3 600 , same thing with my polaris xc 700. I would stay with the stock can and spend it on studs or a clutch kit .

anyone have soundclips of these cans? might be neat to get soundclips of different cans on different sleds and get a thing going for the tech pages

ooooooohh, send me a soundclip too korineric@_removethisfirst_earthlink.net
From personal experiance you will lose HP with the MBRP can. Sounds sweet but i found that with it i rev fine for normal trail riding but start to under rev(8100) after 2-3 runs. The stock can holds a consistent temp better so your tunning characteristics of your exhaust stay more consistant(With stock i rev 8500 from cold to 7-8 WOT runs and at -5C down to -40C)

i had the race can on my 03' viper and it was really loud, as or power, the only reason you would even feel a difference is the fact that ur always pinning the throttle to hear it roar and it is a good weight saver.

you lose any gains your trying too achive, but if you want it just for the sound,I had Hauck's and i thought it sounded great!!And so did everyone else, not too loud, not too quiet.

The slp can is ceramic coated so it will hold the heat inside. It is also quieter. If anyone is interested, I offer the slp can for $ 219 and the rumble packs for $180.
