When I slid the middle PV out it was not connected to the cable. It looks like the PV wore out allowing the cable to pull through it. There's a lot of wear on the PV where the cable was riding against it. This explains why it lost power on mid/top end last year on the last ride to the trailer. I'm thinking I need to replace all three as a good maintenace item. Sled (99SRX) has 6700 miles on it. I haven't taken it any farther apart, but was wondering what you guys thought before I start asking who has set. Anyone been here before? The PV's had been cleaned about 600 miles earlier.

Check em all & see how bad the inside cable mount part of the valve has worn out. This is very common on higher mileage SRX,s or guys using cheap-o oil.

I pulled them all apart. There's another that is 1/4 worn and the third is minimal. The cable going to the left cylinder is a little dry, but the spring seems to pull it back ok. I think it's time to replace all the cables and PV's. Low mileage used is a thought if I can trust the source.

I also just pulled the carbs to clean the bowls and since I'm new to sleds, never thought to check the reeds. As far as I know these are also originals, so I think it's a good idea to just pick a set up. Can anyone recommend where to get these items at a fair price?

I have some very good 98-99 SRX powervalve cables for $50 shipped to you. I have 1 decent powervalve & 1 is about 2/3 gonzo. Nudder $40 for the 2.

Got yer $$$$. Cables will be shipped tomorrow AM but shipping can be 2-3 weeks from western Canuckland.
