How do you get the hood screens off? i need to paint em white and how do you put em back on?

there rivited on i think ud have to drill out the rivit with a 3/16th bit and then re rivit them back on when u were done. either that or just tape off ur hood with some taped and news paper and put some paper behind them paint them on the seld.

be sure that you can find the right rivits before you take out the screen under the headlight. i took my screens out to paint them and found out that there was a special rivit that splist into 4 peices to hold them. the hole in the plastic is bigger than the hole in the grill and you cant get behind it to put a washer on it. i still dont have that screen back on mine yet

yea all of my rivets have the special X shaped rivet end... couldnt i just use some regular rivets?

drill them out and use a nut and bolt...that's how I did mine.

Alright sounds good
You can use regular rivets if you use washers on the backsides. Some are trickier than others. The ones at the front of the hood were the trickiest for me. Can't remember how I did the brake vent grille but I did it, maybe some needle nose to get the rivet washer on??? Old drilled out rivet heads make excellent back-up washers.
