89A10 weights, green white green primary spring and 47/43 helix?

A friend has suggested this. What do you think?

To be used for mostly trail riding on a 99 srx 700, m-10 to be installed.

should work good, just make sure you clutch it to pull 8100 to 8200 out of the hole, creeping up to 83-8400 on top end.

it will work well.I woulkd stick with stock weight if your going to mostly trail ride.

89a-10,s are good lake running weight but a little lazy for backshift.

drivers/gears and weights

Should I be changing the drivers or gearing with the above setup. Going in stock SRX700 with bender can. Would 8dn-20 weights be a better choice than the 89A10 weights?

depends what you want to do. DN20s are definately a better all around weight, they backshift much better and still have an awesome upshift, but i think the 89A's upshift a little harder, but they don't backshift as well. For an all around good setup with DN's are better, for lake racing the 89's are probably a little better.

FHS,

I wouldn't install that M10 with that setup, it will ride too smooth and slow you down. You should sell that M10 to one of your friends!! :Moon: :Moon:

HA HA ;)!
