As some of you may know I had an encounter with a rock last year on my SRX. I went rounds with my insurance company from December 2004 until July 2005. Then they finally payed up. To make a long story short, it is now fixed. Here's some pics of what it looks like now. I bought a used hood for it, new radius rod, fixed the bulkhead, new yellow skidplate. I also cut down my tall winshield and painted the inside of it. I got the sled cleaned up real good too! Polished the pipes, clutch guard, and rear snow flap mount.

I buffed my hood and waxed it also. That made the hood shine alot more. I used 3M rubbing compound and then Black Magic wax. That foamy engine degreaser stuff works awesome under the hood too.

First I used Never Dull to remove all the dirt and crap off the pipes. Wipe down with a clean cotton rag. Then I used a 3" buffing pad mounted to a cordless drill and polished each pipe using Mothers Aluminum polish. I probably only spent 5-7 minutes on each pipe too. Looks really good IMO for 20 minutes of work. I used this same procedure on the clutch guard and snow flap mount also. I'm thinking about taking the pipes off and painting where they are rusty, using some Ceramic Black 1200 degree paint.BLUE LIGHTNING said:NICE JOB, LOOKS GOOD !!!!!!!!

Thanks for all the compliments guys!
I chose blue/yellow because I seen everyone else doing blue/white, blue/silver on theirs and I just thought Yellow would look sweet.

Nice sled dude, it's shitty when you wreck something, but it looks like everything came out good for you. Great job

What brand of handguards do you guys suggest that I put on here?? I want something that has good function(keeping hands out of wind), but style helps too!
