I've found a decent deal on a Boss Seat just 2 towns away. Not sure if I really want it. I've noticed a lot of guys have them. What are the pros and cons on this seat?

how much? if its around $200 i'd for sure get it. its lighter, and supposed to give you more of a rider forward feel. theres more than that, but thats the jist of it.

Boss seat

I have a wide top high rise. Weight reduction was 2.3 lbs from stock. IMO there is way more shock absorbtion in the boss seat over stock. Seating position is higher making movement from seated to standing much quicker and easier. The high top narrow is a little uncomfortable for trail use. Nitrous sleeve, probe and shovel storage are trick. I would not go back.

I like mine. I didn't think I would when I bought the sled it was on it. Now after sitting on it, I've decided it's much more comfortable to sit on, not near as slippery as some seats I've ridden on, and the rider position is improved. I'm very happy with it. Plus it's lighter.

There are no cons in my opion , They look better , feel better , work as a fourth shock , as said above, they put you in a better riding postion, i also have the extra wide top high rise and @ 6'3 it doesnt kill my knees to ride all day anymore ....10 time the seat compared to stock ....

I second all positive remarks. I would never go back! One thing not mentioned is that they breath. Stock seats don't breath.

I must say. i have bought ALOT of things for my sled this year, but the boss seat is probably one of my better investments. The price is really harsh, but if you can find a second hand one for a decent price, jump on it!!! :Moon:

I would do it for $200 but i dont think it is worth the extra $$. I have some miles riding them and they are nice, but that is a big chunk of change. If a revalved viper suspension and a stock seat on my '02 viper didnt kill my back on the Powley RD. then nothing will! you guys that have been in the Piseco Lake, NY area know what I am talking about:)

Although i am putting in the monoshock skid this year. But thats because I am fat and married now. (i.e) no new sled for me for a long time
