I just got a fake e-mail from paypal.It was a invoice for a watch which i didnt order.Any way on the bottom of the e-mail it says if you didnt purchase this item and wish to dipsute the charge click on this link and log in and file a dispute.BUT i thought 1st and went to paypal direct.no such charge and then i read about protecting your account from fraud.They nailed it when they say the e-mail address's you as dear,paypal user.So please beware and never respond to e-mails from paypal or e-bay thru e-mail.Always go direct.Thats how they are doing the scams now and they look legit.
 
ya, i've gotten those to. be sure you tell paypal about it because they will investigate it so that they can't steal your money. it REALLY helps they told me, if you tell them about the fraud and send them the email. they were glad i did!!!
 
Do you guys have any idea on how to change your first source of payment? My first source is set as my checking account and second as my dads credit card. I want to make the credit card first because it keeps trying to take out 35.00 everytime i order something and pay with my credit card. My mom had to close my checking account because it kept taking money from me, i got it all back though because she works at a bank.
 
I just got one from ebay stating that my account was going to be terminated if I did not update my information. Did the same thing as Rich. Went into my ebay account. No such message. Nice scam. Gets you to go into what you think is ebay and enter all your personal info.

Yea this is the scam I have always posted here & other sites! When you see a sled or what ever & it says you have to be preapproved when you ask them that ? from then on thoes bastards will send you fake Ebay notices! I always log in right there and use me ID name as some realy nice "F U" quotes & the pass word lots of fun!

yep i did send it to paypal.i already got a response.seems e-bay is a major scam factory now( not e-bay just a place to use it) i see sleds,motorcycles crazy cheap like anyone will fall for those anymore.

Identity theft and internet scams are getting so bad that I think the federal government should make kids in high school take a "personal information protection" class of some sort to educate them on this stuff. Obviously, it doesn't protect everyone but it's a start.
