yes they hook very good.but if you plan on racing on the lake and everyone else had studs you'll wish you did to.depends on much of that your going to do.

Also keep in mind that if you stud the ripsaw, use the tall nuts to retain some strength so the studs don't bend over as easily. For lake racing, the ripsaw goes very well out of the hole, but it does not fair to well at top end because the profile is so aggressive that it catches a lot of wind. You might be better off with the hacksaw (if you havent already purchased the ripsaw) if you want to keep the top speed and still get a great hole shot.
Thanks Guys!! No More Ice Racing For Me, Just Snow Racing!!

i like the ripsaw.... put one on my viper 136 it hooks nice no studs..... wife has one on her vector ... hook up is great, everywhere but on icey parts of trails and lake tops.....
i am selling my viper so no need to change drivers and gears to stud, but the only time i really miss the studs is going into an icy corner or charging across the lake..... but i am changing wifes track for an ice ripper for that extra grip into the corners and improved braking.......
personnally i think on my 07 ATTAK, or maybe a new model?, i will probably run studs to give me the lake top as well as added stopping power.... but for just trail riding the ripsaw is very good... just watch the ice.

9818 1.25" is way better unstudded on snow!

Blue...... if you need a price on the iceripper send me a P.M.
I have run 2 well tuned RX-1,s side by side. The RX-1 with the 9818 was allways 100% of thime faster/quicker then a Ripsaw in all snow conditions that I saw.
Interesting!! Even Though The 9818 Is One Lbs Heaver
Ya want an even better track get the fully clipped 1" camo take-off from a doo. The super hard lug is only on the GSX model. Wicked great track for hook up & top end plus it weighs about the same as a 9818. Putting one on my 01 SRX next week.
What # Camoplast Track Does The Gsx Have??
So The Stiffer The Lug = Greater The Performance??
Is't The Stiffer Rubber Harder To Bend, Like Around The Drivers And
Rear Wheels??

Can,t find a part # on that track anywhere. Stiffer lugs bite the snow better. Softer lugs will work better on ice. These tracks work awesome & the word is out in my area. I had to do unspeakable things to get this track!Shame on me.

Hmmmmmmmm interesting. I am looking for a track for my 2000 SRX. Now I am really confused. I was looking at the Camo 9830. Then I discovered the Hacksaw and am looking into that. Now I see Turk (who I have nothing but the greatest respect for) is touting the Ski doo track. A friend of mine has a dealership (Gamma Sales...which anyone can get a catalogue and sell sled parts) where I can get Camo tracks much cheaper than anywhere else.
Is the Ski-doo GSX track only available at a Ski-doo dealer??? If that's the case I can assume paying top buck. I want the GSX track!!!

That track is available when a dealer upgrades the customer to a 1.25 & he takes it on trade. 9830 is very similar to that doo track except for the speed clips.
Turk, How About A Camo 9900r???

I will ask a Doo dealer about the GSX track. If no go, then I will scoop the 9830. Thanks for helping me make up my mind.
