Does anyone know the exact difference
between a SRX "W" arm and the a Viper (and most others)

I've been searching the previous post for hours
and can't really find my answer.

All SRX's takes a 8DN-47331-00-00 arm & its $175.00
The Viper & just about every other sled takes a 8CV-47331-01-00 for $111.00

Is it beef or length and should I be using it when
converting my SRX to Viper long travel?

.

Im not sure what the difference between the srx and viper arms, but I do know that the srx w-arm is okay to use when doing l.t. conversion. You can also strengthen your stock w-arm with gussets in high stress areas.

same length, all the sleds. the difference is in the design of the gussets underneath.

the bottom line is that they all will crack if you dont do anything to address the problem.

all w arms should be checked and i dont mean see if it is broke. take it out, clean it look it all over for cracks. I've seen near new ones with cracks starting. it is a manufacturing problem they dont seem to want to fix.
weld any cracks that are there, keep the upper and lower bushings tight in the w arm and the front shock, keep spring preload light and you wont have any problems.

Thanks guys!
Scott, that was my thinking also, but was not 100% sure
I was going to buy a new Viper arm & have that beefed up
by my welder guru.
Also, I'm going to add the roller bearings to the
front shock like you suggested in another post.
Here's my broken weld... Grrrrrrrr!
