I currently ride a 2002 viper, with bender pipes ,speedwerx head, reeds, roller rooster sec.41\37 also have a 47\43 from my srx. When i bought the pipes from bender they gave me the loaded up stock 8ek's,new helix and springs. This system works well but was looking for more! Bought the roller sec much better backshift and alot snappier. Then onto the primary. Bought 2 speed heel clickers (came apart destroyed prim sheave) .They gave me reg heel clickers as a replacement.I did'nt even install them. Then i bought the heavy hitters from cpr. Jeff sent them with his set up ( not much tip weight). With the 8ek's i can pull away from my buddies 800ho to about 800 feet. With the heavy hitters i'm not as quick. If i loaded the tip up not the middle on the HH would it pull better? I should also mention I'm running 1.25
121 with 8 tooth drivers 21\38 gear 144 studs 185 lbs. Or should i play around with the heel clickers, gun shy after the 2 speed weight came apart.Any good set ups or other info would be appreciated.

Just some info here. Add 10 degrees to each angle for the roller rooster & you are very close to a regular billet helix angle. You gotta tune for rpm,s & I had real good luck with the roller by tightening up the secondary a lot otherwise you will get a lot of belt slip.

Thanks for the input on the roller! I wrap it to 0\3 which is about 70lbs i think.About the heel clickers and the h hitters, which is the best way to go,and how should they be set up. When i run the cpr setup it comes out of the hole well but at about 500' if falls off big time. I want a good all around set up. Willing to try the clickers.
Thanks.
Thanks.

If it falls on its face you have too much tip weight probably. I would also wrap that secondary at 60 degrees with a silver Yamaha spring. If you knew what the rpm,s are now & how much weight is in the hh,s it would actually be a piece of cake to help. Right now with out any more info it is just playing a guessing game.

What to do
Hey turk!
When i said it would fall on its face I am pulling consistent RPM. Starts
at about 8650 pulls to about 8750. It just does'nt have alot of top end pull from about 500-600'. I was thinking that the combination of 21\38 gear and the 8 tooth drivers that maybe it will pull more gear? As far a the heavy hitter set up #1 1\4 + 3\4 #2 7\16 + 1thk wash #3 empty. I have the cpr supplied sec spring wraped to 70 i think. I am willing to try the clickers but those prim springs seem so stiff ,just not sure. I am only interested in good speed to about 1000'. I just don't want a stock viped right there with me. I have many springs and parts available just want the best set up. Thanks again!
