Judging by the research done on previous threads, the track of choice for the SRX 700 is the Camoplast Predator 9830 1". This track apparently gives pretty good hook up and no loss of top end (which is what I am looking for).
I just discovered a thread on the new hacksaw track. Would this be a wiser choice??? I am looking for hookup with no loss of top end. I blew my stock track last spring and am looking to buy a new track very soon. I heard of track issues where the ripsaw track was not holding up on RX-1's...would the hacksaw be the same??
I also believe I would lose too much top end with an 1.25, but not sure how much of a difference it would make.
Any insights would be greatly appreciated.

the hacksaw is brand new for this year. I spoke to Camoplast reps on the weekend and they said that all test on the hacksaw were very good. I should not say brand new since they told me they used the 13 inch hacksaw on the Arctic Cats last year with great results. It is the sane track but they made it 15 wide.

How fast are you looking to go? I've got a 9818 w/ 144 studs in my '01 SRX and I hit 110 on the GPS on a lake last year during the TY ride... I personally like the deeper lug and haven't missed any of the speed it might be costing me...

If its worth anything, i was going to get the 9830 and opted last minute for the hacksaw, figuring that it will be better in hardpacked conditions and just as good in loose snow as the 9830. Lot more meat on the hacksaw.

I have the 9830, and love it. Great track that has held up to over 1500 miles of abuse.
