Looking for a photo of a Viper or even an SRX with a Boss highrise. Not sure if I want to stay stock or jack my *** up a bit.

There are a couple pics in this thread of my sled with the boss high rise. I dont run a tail light anymore.
Here is my sled in 03, before the works pro-stadium front shocks, transfer kit, and 2" taller bars

I made a custom braket to mount the tail light at the back of the tunnel ext. the seat is very firm, and makes standing up a breeze. i only rode the sled the day I bought it, but it did feel "funny" at first, but once used to it, it was great. Maxdlx
ak ryda, Is that a 136" skid? I assume so since it is a mountain viper. Kind of looks like a 121" in the photo. How do you like the ride? do you think a 2" riser would be adequate for trail riding?

It is the stock 144" skid with 144" track.
The ride of the seat is firmer and narrower than the stock seat, but I am more accustomed to dirt bike and sport quad seats so it is pretty much on par with those, not really a seat for 200 mile flat twisty trail days but absolutely perfect for mountain riding. I mainly only stand while riding, probably 75% standing so I dont really care about the ride too much.
The seat changes your riding style some what, instead of using more body english hanging off the sled I now tend to use the seat as a leverage point and apply force to the side of the seat instead unless it is a big side hill. Makes a big difference when jumping as well, if i get a little crossed up or want to turn the sled to match a landing run out better just a tug on the bars and a knee to the side of the seat pitches the sled much easier.
For general trail riding it would be a big help to you to raise your bars, especially if you are raising you rride height with a high rise seat. Also for going through the bumps the taller bars are the only way to go when standing.

Boss seat
Boss makes 3 heights, stock, +1.5" and +3". They make 2 widths on the +3" model. I have the +3" wide top and love it. Installed a SLP LED tailight on the shovel pouch. Raised my handlebars 6" but mostly steep and deep riding. Its worrysome on high speed trails.
