Just picked up my Father-In-Law's 99 SRX that has the Viper long-travel shocks setup in the rear as well as the raised front end... Can I still install my MaxPerformance transfer rods?
I picked up a set last year but not sure if they can be installed.

there are two different length of rods for the short and long travel skid.
Which rods do you have. The the sled is long travel the rods have to be as well.

yamyrider is right, there are two different lengths. I have benders on my long travel srx though, and they are the short rods mounted in the front hole (in front of the rear idlers) and it works fine. But usually for a long travel set up you want the long style rods mounted in the rear holes (behind the rear idlers)

YAMAHOLIC, could you upload a photo of your setup. I have the shorter rods and I know they will not work with the stock setup.

I had put there long travel shocks on my 00srx before last season and they recomened the longer rods. So I bought those also. It allows for the full travel of the new shock. The tech support at Maxperf is great to. Just give them a call and I am sure they can answer for you.
