Hello I am new to this forum and fairly new to sledding as well.

I have a 1997 VMAX 600 XTC with a 1" 121 2.52 pitch track on now.
I am wanting to install a new 1.5" Ripsaw track on the machine. I now it can be done but I was advised the drive sprockets would have to be changed and the gearing as well. My question, has anybody done this or heard of this being done? Is it worth the hassle and the extra money? I know I can put a 1.25 with out any modifications.
Just looking for some advice/opinions on this. :yam:

you should be able to use the stock drivers as long as all the protectors are removed. as far as gearing dropping a tooth on the top should be sufficiant. the difference from a 1" to a 1.25" is quite noticeable. a 1.5" would really be a lot of fun on it. go for it!

yup n2oiroc is right, you just need to pull all of your stock protectors and it will fit with 9 tooth drivers.
