Hey i am considering going from 121 ro 141 on my 1998 vmax xtc 700 and want to know all the mods i have to do besides extenisons of tunnel and rails and maybe drivers if i get a big paddle. Thanks and let me know
20 x 40 is popular with 9 tooth drivers, and 23 x 40 is popular with 8 tooth drivers. You will need 8 tooth drivers with a paddle. You likely have 22 x 39 or 21 x 39 in there right now, if you switch to 8 tooth drivers it will be pretty close.

i am getting 8 tooths and so itll work? with no change to gears?
The 22 x 39 gears with 8 tooth drivers equals a 9 tooth equivalent ratio of 1.9943 where 20 x 40 is 2.000. Pretty close if you ask me . . .
