Just passing on a big sale at Canadian Tire on Shell Advance oil, 1/2 price, 10.99 for a 4 litre jug. I had to get a raincheck on the first day of the sale, they sold out that quick!
This is not the synthetic stuff & it will mess up your powervalves quickly. The synthetic stuff is a lot more $$$. I tried this mineral stuff when it 1st came out in 1999 & my powervalves in my SRX were caked up in 1000 miles. The synthetic stuff is way better.

I senn it on sale myself and was wondering about the quality.
Turk do you know if it is ok for non power valve motor.

It is fine for non powervalve motors. Used to use it in my piped SX,s & never had any probs.

Turk if you keep an eye on your powervalves and clean them say every 500 miles is it ok to use this oil?

well it would be fine, but that is just that many more cleanings you have to do. If i cleaned my powervalves every 500 miles i would have to do it every other day...or less, literally.

For a savings of 25 bucks on 4 litres of oil compared to synthetic I think I can take the time to clean the powervalves but I guess everyone has there own opinion on that. I just think that paying over a buck a litre for gas plus 35 bucks for synthetic oil(4 litres), I'll have to get a second job just to ride. I usually try to clean my powervalves weekly anyway so once I start riding I'll post my thoughts on the oil. Hey for 10.99 a jug its worth a try.

handling and cleaning your valves that much will require alot more valve adjustments to and there is still no subsitute for good quality synthetic oil..

So they can make more money on oil sales, valve cleaning, repair and rebuild motors sooner.I know at my local dealer picks his yamalube up at the esso (imperial oil) dealer
Stick 1 valve pull the cable out, and miss the only 2 to 4 days that there is snow on the ground, and we'll the extra money for synthetic or Blu marble will seem meaningless. maxdlx
