I am looking for a kit to replace the bushings in my skid. My 01' SXR-700 needs a bit of work. I just got the shocks done from Bruce and in the process of putting it all back together I noticed a few things. My re-inforced W-arm is cracked again. Most of the bushings are hair thin or missing. 3 wheel bearings are frozen some of the others feel like stepper motors. The plastic spacer washers between the big top wheels are falling out after being ripped (bearings frozen). I made a list of parts from the last time I re-did the skid but that list is on another computer that is in a box in my basement. So, does anyone have a complete list of the parts to freshen up my skid. Doug

I think maxximum performance has a kit that includes all the plastic bushings for the skid, and the needle bearings and metal bushings that the shocks mount on.
any opinion on who has the best kit, Maxx or JR grahm?? I need to order this also. Nylotron sounds the best, are both places offering Nylotron??

Just got off the phone with JR and their web page is goofed up. Ordering is not very easy right now. I am thinking the better bushings would be a good idea and if Maxx includes the metal parts I am more interested in that. I called JR and it was real hard to get answers before 1:00 their time because the tech guys are not on phones. I will call Maxx and ask about their kit.

Just got off the phone with Gary at Maxx. I ended up going with his heavy duty bushing kit for the rear skid and the OEM for the front. I also got the bearings I needed as well. That was a one stop shopping trip and my stuff will be here tomorrow!!

Doug, just got off the phone with gary, too. He must have thought it was bushing day. What bushing kit did you get for the rear, is it the one listed in there catalog or site or is it something different?
He told me the nylatron kit would probably be the last bushing kit that I would ever have to buy, spoke very highly about it.

I got the 85.00 kit with the good bushings for the rear and the OEM kit for the front.
Does anyone have a contact number or web address for Maxx? I need some bushings also. Are these bushings better than yamaha's? What about the price?

http://www.maxxperf.com I have never used their kit before so I can't say if they are better but the sales pitch was good enough for me to buy. I paid $85.00 for the rear heavy duty ones. Doug
