03 viper looking for a new shield,who can get me the best prices,looking for the one that,at the bottom is black then fades into blue chrome.I forgot the guys name on here,but he posted a lot of pics. of it???

I recently bought a Cobra low solid blue windy from Buck's "The Snowmobile Store" for $25.00. They are factory seconds with some blemishes. Mine has a few darker spots that you can only see if you put your face on it. No big deal. It looks killer! Buck's should still have some at the Novi show.

As cool as it looks, I am waiting to see how cold it is going to be.

yeah, I got one from Buck's too the low blue,looks good,i tried to see any blemishes,and couldn't find any.Also the blue is a little off,not sure if that is what it is?
Great for 33 bucks shipped though,I'm happy with the purchase.

o, I have seen the solid blue that price before. they must all be running clearances. I thought you meant chrome, I was about to cry lol! thought you wanted the chrome like mine? price too good to resist?

Cobra Low Windshields: Freezing?

I just picked up an '02 SRX with 368 miles, all stock. I do not want to freeze but love the look of the solid blue low windscreen. Is it a matter of form over function, i.e. will I freeze my *** off with it as opposed to the stock screen?

It is definetly a lot colder with a lower shield, I was pretty shocked the first time that I rode my viper with the low windy over 60mph with how much more wind hits you. I'm used to it now, it's chilly but it looks better.

When my dad rides the viper when I'm at school he puts the stock windy on it, he won't ride it with the low one, he is a wimp. Of course I won't say that to his face.

that actually is stock, and it will be a bit colder than one from, say, an 01 sxr

the stock windy on an '02 srx isn't going to be any warmer than any aftermarket you find, i promise you that lol

in fact most aftermarket windshields will be better than the stock srx low because of the added flair.... even in the same low height....

you know i dont think i've ever seen an aftermarket windy as low as the stock srx one. Even a low sportech cobra is higher.

yeah, I agree with the last 2 statements the low cobra for the viper is another story though, same as a low yamaha one lol!
