It's piped and suposed to be ported, 700 nonpowervalved engine.
I've got a 151" track on it right now and I'm wondering if a 162 would be too much for it.

if you ride the mountains its a good change. more track in the powder is always better. i would just drop one tooth on the bottom or add two teeth to the bottom after so there wont be any doubt about it being able to pull that big of a track

This year I will be using a 162 with a 700 engine. Set gearing at 20/42. I'll go to 19/42 if needed. I'll know more end of Nov. after early Revy ride.

Nov. Revy ride
If you are asksing "how did the 162 work on a MM in Nov in Revelstoke?" Havent gone yet. Trip has been delayed until Dec 12. Other sleds on the ride include a new M7 162, new Skidoo 800 151, custom SRX 151. Anxious to see how my "new for this year " MM will work against these sleds.

162 on a piped MM
Just got home from Revelstoke. Rode with 3 doo's, 2 M7's, 1 poo. 1997 MM with many mods including a 162 by 15 by 2 camo did just fine. This type of riding is so much about the rider and the line taken that its hard to pick a winner. 1997 MM was fastest in a toe to toe drag race. Everybodys sled worked good on the climbs and everyone got stuck, a lot. Nice to know that you can take a 9 year Yamaha and make it run with the new big dogs. I have attached some pics from Revelstoke. I have a total of 15. If you want to see more, I'll post them. Played above the clouds in bright sunshine for four days. WOW.

Yes, post more pictures Modmmax, post every one you've got. That's one sweet sled. I still haven't gotten mine out this year. I'm still waiting for my skis to come from Canada and I still have to work out my clutching issues. That's one sweet sled, I need to see some action shots.
Steamboatrider, I haven't found a 162" track to put on mine yet but when I do I'll let ya know. You can have this track pretty cheap. It's a finger track in great shape, I'm just thinking I want to go bigger and I want a paddle track.
