What color and brand of handguards do you guys think I should get for my SRX?? I'm don't really have a brand preference, whatever has the best form/function. I'm going to go with either Yellow or blue. I can't decide though. I think Yellow handguards will be too much Yellow on the SRX. I don't want to overdue it, I think the balance is about perfect now. What do you guys think?

The only thing I would change are the white diamonds. They distract the eye a little.
A bugger to get off, but it would uncover some more blue.
That's what I did with my srx7. I have all the yellow you have plus a yellow windy.
Also waiting for my set of sno grips in yellow and bar ends-yellow to get here in the mail.
Getting a set of ATS PRO FLEX II skis-yellow bottoms and handles this week.
I'll post some pics when its done.

Hand guards
It really is a personnal preferance! I've got a set of PowerMadd on the way mainly because the price was right
Sportech makes a nice set too. I would for sure go with the BLUE. Good luck

I would have to say yellow powermad/Rox style hand gaurds would look good. I dont think that would be too much yellow, but once they are on, I wouldnt add any more. Plus, the yellow hooks will be covered by the yellow gaurds, so they realy wont add as much yellow as if those hooks wernt there already.

yea i would probably go with yellow if it were mine, the trim and accents all have to be yellow, and blue is the base. Looks good.

I have a set of sportech yellow hand guards with mount and a set of yellow sno slip running board edge grips Yamaha part#sma-slip0-00-yl. New the handgaurds are $56.99 and snoslips are $51.95, I will sell both for $65 delivered to you. They are in perfect condition. The reason I am selling is I am going with different color combo on my new Attak. I can take some pics if you are interested.

Does anybody have any pics of yellow handguards on their sled?? If I do go with yellow for the handguards it WILL be the last piece of yellow on this sled I think. Yellow skis or ski tips would be cool too, but I want to keep Yellow as a "secondary" color, not a color that's all over. It will start looking like Big Bird if I use too much......LMFAO. What brand provides the best protection?? I think the Sportech's look the best. They seem like they would provide more protection than the Acerbis or Powermadd's too?

I think protection is all real similar, i had sportechs and thought they were awesome, but i took them off right away because they hit the windshield and i didn't have time to get a riser before we were heading up. As for the ski tips, those do look awesome yellow. My buddy had a '98 srx all decked out in yellow, he had the screens, skidplate, ski tips, shock covers, stud backers, slides, and 90* handlebar end and brake lever, and he also went to the polaris dealer and got yellow running board traction for an edge X, that looked GREAT on there as well. Handguards would've looked good too.

Well I think I've decided to go with the Sportech Yellow handguards they look SWEET!
Will I have any clearance problems with a 2" riser using the low black winshield??? Not the winshield in my avatar. The low black one from Yamaha, you guys know what I'm talking about. I just want to make sure that it will work with my other winshield because I may use that when it's colder!
