My speedo key sheared at the driveshaft. The end of the key is stuck in the shaft. I pushed it in to see how far it would go in. It didn't go far enough to get the new key in. I tried drilling it out and my drill bit broke off. I am so screwed now. I looked up the parts breakdown for the shaft and there is an insert that goes in the end of the shaft. I feel if I can remove the insert, the key should come out. Has anyone done this before? Any suggestions?

Get the busted drill bit out. Soak the inside real good with some WD and get yourself a small metal pick with a hook on the end and good luck. I have had to do the same and had good sucess.
