Gearing 23/38 - 68L chain?

I know it says in the gearing chart to use a 70L chain, but there looks to be enough slack in the 68L chain, has any one tried it?

Haven't tried it but if thereseems to be enough slack give it a try. You may have to put both the gears and chain on simultaneously as one unit. I've done that when going up 2 teeth on drive.
