which can?

hey guys,
i was wondering what the best can for a 1998 srx 700 would be? i don't want a loud muffler(louder than stock of course), but quiet enough to not get a ticket from the trail cops. lookin for a muffler that loses wieght and gives some noise when you hammer it. bender seems to be my choice right now, anyone have any sound clips of a bender or any other cans .

my uncle has a bender can in his srx. Out of all of our sleds i think it sounds the coolest besides my dads RX1. It has a real deep rumble to it and really howls when you open it up. It isnt near obnoxiously loud either. Its just perfect i would say and looks cool.

I have a bender can and I think it sounds real nice, while not being obnoxious. Keep in mind that none of these aftermarket silencers will gain any power.

I've had MBRP and Hauck cans - the MBRP have a little better sound (IMO) but they seem to lose some top end - the Hauck can has a little "brighter" sound, but I didn't notice any loss in top end - can't speak for the Bender cans

I have heard alot can's on SRX'S but with no doubt the dyno port tripple pak sounds really nice!!! and too loud.

i have 2 srx's & 1 has a bender & 1 has the hauck stingers,,,they both sound good but i think the stingers are the only can to give the srx any performance gains.

they are very loud, but man o man does it sound sweet!!!!!!!!!

I picked up a viper this summer, and removed the trail can from it and put in the stocker, as everyone has told me that I am losing HP for the sake of noise.. It is a trail can that I removed, thoughts?

you are loosing power, it is true, but whether or not is is noticable, idk. I personally think it is prolly about even, considering you lost 10-15 lbs of fthe sled by witching over to the aftermarket, so 2 ro 3 hp isnt gonna hurt much. unless you can get somethign like the hauck stingers, then i dont belive you lose any power with them, and still save 13 lbs i believe
