Can someone clear this gearing clutter up for me a bit....
i race snow drags with an awesome 70 sx modified now i have awesome holeshot and i beat these huys to about 450 feet and then they go wizzing by me at the finish line ....now should i gear up one more tooth on the top gear or less one tooth on the bottom.......please explain what each change will do for my sled please.......i know that one tooth up will give a little top end but how much (MPH) and how much difference does the bottom gear change make????please and thank you

what are you running today? top gear, bottom gear, drivers. What if any pipes and what RPM's are you turning on top. What weights in the primary and spring, what is your secondary setup. This is all needed to see where your speed is being lost. Also, what track height. Doug

is it a set distance or until the motor can't go anymore....if its distance, then mark your clutches with a black marker and gear for proper shift out...CP
