Hey guys, this is just a thought and I am not sure if it will work but want to hear what you guys are thinking. I have examined it closely in the pictures but I still not sure so I am coming to you. Do you guys think the aftermarket tail lenses they made for the 98-99 r1 will fit an 02 viper seat tail light? Here are some links to the pictures of the clear lenses. Let me know what you think.

The Viper taillights were styled after the R1 taillights so I would bet they would work. It sure would be sweet.
I remember seeing some clear tail lights that were advertised for the viper but i dont remember where. Probably the same thing, but if they are why dont they list both the bike and the viper.

Look at the fiche for the Viper and the 98 R1. Heck, the part numbers are the same for the mounting grommets and wiring harness. Drawings look identical. The Viper light is available as just a lens, but the R1 comes as an assembly so the numbers for that will appear different. Same part IMO. I was pondering this idea myself, but you beat me to it! You'll get credit when we are all running clear lights on our Vipers!

guys these do fit, there was a guy on here in 02 that installed one from his bike. havent seen him on here in years.
There was a lot of guys that did this on the 4 stroke forum when the rx1's first came out.The clear lenses wouldturn dull and crappy looking so everyone took theirs off.
tailight is like prego....its in there!
was a direct bolt on, looks pretty cool, I am gonna use led bulbs now and it should be plenty bright.
