Any thoughts on how these two will match up. The buddy I ride will most of the time has 2005 Rx1 (I ride a 2001 SRX) and I beat him pretty bad. Obviously the Apex is a much better overall sled but I can't wait to see if it will handle a well tuned stock SRX.

I know I won't be destroyed!! Maybe beat but I doubt it will be by much.

My ported SRX is a bit faster than my 05' RX-1. I think the new Apex will be right in there. Time will tell, but the Apex is definately going to be amazing for a stock sled.

I think once the pro tunners get their hands on the Apex it will beat the SRX in a 2000ft.
The Apex that was here on show and demo in Feb did about 128mph across the lake bone stock and I would think that in Feb that would of been a proto type.

No doubt they are fast, but those speedos (and all the yamy digital speedos for that matter) are way inflated. Dream-o-meter hits it right on the head

The speedos are about 10% off. If it read 128 figure 12-13mph less which puts it at about 116. I believe that's where the majority of clutched RXs were running depending on conditions. It's still a very good number though.

no argument about the speedo.
I still like the 116 that is a good number for a bone stock set up.
My cousins mach 1000 only hit 111 with radar. He had a few colorful words about is machine that day. :na

I totally agree but I was talking stock vs stock. I dont know much about those mach 1000 except for how disapointed he was that he could only get 111 out of her. He did not like hearing about the new Yamaha.

I believe 111 out of certain 1000 Z's. I've seen slow ones and also amazingly fast ones. We had one "stock" Mach hit 110 in 1000 feet at the local radar run last year, and another only hit 101.

the apex er I tried last year was a lot faster than the 05 rx1 I tried back to back. if you look at the power curve, it is only 10 hp more on PEAK, but has a lot more in the low and midrange. just pulls harder
