Hacksaw rubbing on 99 SRX

I put on my new hacksaw and it is rubbing pretty good on the front heat exchangers. What have you guys used to cut the track down? I was thinking maybe an exacto blade? I'm sure it would wear in, but I would rather cut it down ahead of time. (Yes it's studded) I know this was an issue with the Ripsaw, but I didn't think I would have to deal with it for the hacksaw :(
 

i used a pair of end nips-- they're exactly the same width as the clips/ windows which is the only spot you need to clip. i took off about 3/16"- just enough so they wouldn't rub. had to do this on my viper with a 9830.
 
Horse nail clippers work great .....been there done that , but if it not rubbing bad you might just leave it , it will wear down :) , really if its not bad , it rubber vs. metal , ...metal will win in the long run :)
