In my experiance with them on a Vmax-4 and a srx yes they do work.

Worked awesome on my '01 srx 700. I have an EGT just to make sure everything is working ok, but so far, it helped me keep a lot more consistant power for the changing weather, thus helping me get my clutching dialed in the way I want it. I recommend it, but I like to see on an egt that everything is working properly.
