Painting the underside of your windshield? Possible?

I need a new windshield on my V Max... small mishap last season cracked mine.. not bad, but I don't like it!! Anyway, found this one on ebay but it's clear. Can you paint the underside to make it black??

I've seen clear bug deflectors on trucks where the backs have been painted and they turned out ok. I wouldn't know what to do with the blue though.

yes you can but the blue fade wll still be there. Looks pretty good. I did a yellow one in 98. light and many coats.

Well, my current cracked windshield is black opaque (can't see thru it) and is the same style as this one... and the blue looks like it would match my V-Max blue (not the same as say a srx or sxr blue, mine's lighter). So I was thinking that the blue and black look might be o.k.

Best way of painting a shield no doubt. Like the others say 2 -3 coats thin and should be good to go.

The winshield on my sled is the same as the one that you have in your pic. Except mine is cut down and I painted the inside black. I used Krylon Fusion paint, it worked AWESOME! Looks good to IMO. I like the Blue on bottom with the black on top.
