Does anyone have a yamaha gearing chart that shows ratios as well as MPH in 1:1 and overdrive ratios? I haven't been able to find one. I know bombardier has one but does anyone have a yamaha one they can share?

There is a spreadsheet over on snowest that works great, but I don't know where it's at. I have the link on my computer at home, but not here at work.

There is a calculator over on yamaha info.com without the space between yamaha and info

Gearing
i am thinking about putting some different gearing in my sxr (changing from 21/39 to 20/40) i was wondering what if any downfalls are of this and if you need to change any jetting or clutching? thanks for the advice..daneg

That formula can't be right...those are some serious gears to only go 107...
With my ratio it only goes 101...that is not the case.

try this
rpm/gr x sc/ 12 x 60/ 5280= mph @ 1:1 clutch ratio
rpm=engine speed
gr=gear ratio
sc= sprocket circumference, 9 tooth is 22.68, 8 tooth is 20.16

cool!!! i think my 02 srx goes 86.71 MPH at 8500 RPmM's with 9 tooth drivers and a 19/40 gear ratio of 2.1052631
LOL anybody know the formula to see how fast you will get down a 500 foot track providing the weight and the known HP and torque??? or perhaps even longer distance hauls. Thanks mrviper i put that formula in my notes!!
