Never really looked, but does anyone know where the oil injection point is on a '99 srx 700 (meaning where does the oil enter the engine/carb/intakemanifold) ? My sled runs and starts great (always 1-3 pulls), but the other day I took apart the airbox to look at the carb boots and noticed my 2 stroke oil resting in the boots right where the little jet and port are at on the carb's bellmouth. Again, she runs great, but I'm wondering why the oil was there and if it it a design flaw such that the oil can mung up those small ports and jets. It is as though th oil migrated backwards.

the oil is pumped into the fuel pump and into the bottom end in the bottom of the crank case.I think what you are seeing is the remains of the oil/gas mixture that gets spit back into the airbox the gas mostly evaporates and what you have left is the oil laying around
